![]() I'd like to be able to see some of the higher-end areas because I really liked their MOBA-style combat mechanics. ![]() I was pretty hyped to play Wildstar after seeing the dev videos, but I didn't get very far into it because the beginning of the game seemed really slow and poorly done, plus the character creation seemed really lackluster. I've also recently gotten Beta invites for two games I've had my eye on lately: Wildstar and Everquest Landmark. Been farming Glazenuts for my FC garden, and we now have 3 out of the 5 Manor instruments in our house. Haven't got the fishing rod yet because FUCK FISHING. I caved in and bought 2 extra retainers yesterday, so I'm gonna eventually have to get them again so they can do high-end ventures. Got 2 out of 3 Forager's Tools and the Forager's Hat for gathering, as well as an extra Hat and Dolabra for one of my retainers. Still trying to get enough Control materia to max-meld each craft so I can use CP food instead of Control food to meet the requirement for 3* synths. Got all 8 Artisan's Tools and the Artisan's Spectacles for crafting. Still working on getting the Curtana Atma to Animus as well, but I can only handle so much Brayflox spamming for Mythology. Haven't had a chance to try the newer Coils yet because my static group thinks we need to be better geared first. The only one left out of the cast that's still remotely likable is Guy, if only because his VA used the same voice to do Vash the Stampede on Trigun. Mieu is starting to grate quickly on my nerves. Too bad they couldn't just ditch Luke and make him the main character.Įdit: Nevermind. Normally I hate those "comedic mascots" many anime insist on forcing on the player/viewer, but somehow he's actually managed to be a sympathetic character, useful, and actually pretty adorable without being too saccharine. Surprisingly, Mieu is turning out to be the star of this little farce. I'll give it a bit more time, but if he doesn't shape up real quick then I'll probably just give up and send it back early. ![]() It's something I could imagine having a bit of fun with if the cast weren't so either bland or horrible, especially Luke who is hands down the most unlikable fuck I've ever seen shoehorned into the role of protagonist. I like how you can preform different moves based on how you tilt the stick, to get at both high and low targets - but I don't like how you can't (or I haven't found out how yet) swap characters mid-combat. The soft but colorful anime atmosphere is enjoyable enough, and the combat system is rather old-style Star Ocean:TTEoT-ish - competent, but nothing special. Just got Tales of the Abyss for 3DS rental in the mail. (That being said, I'm pretty sure my Silver battery has died by now, so I'll chalk that one up as not going to happen.) I just want to clear the Elite Four in each and then I'm fine saying "screw it" to the postgame content.Īctually, if I'm being honest, I don't think I even completed all of Kanto in my original playthrough of Silver on the Game Boy Color, so in theory the only Pokemon game I've ever actually completed was Pokemon Red. I had only completed three badges in Black before last week and I'm now on my way to the last Gym, so I've made some progress there. So far I'm doing pretty well (Xenoblade's on my list, for instance) but there's still a lot to finish.Īs far as Pokemon is concerned, I'm sitting at or around the Elite Four in both Sapphire and Platinum (though Platinum might actually be a little before that). Over the last few months I've been going out of my way to power through and finish a bunch of games I meant to play. Maybe over a hundred if we factor in random indie games I picked up for sale on Steam that I don't actually have queued up. How many unfinished games are you currently juggling? Maybe one of these days I'll finish all the Pokemon games I started but never finished? I sorta randomly dove back into Pokemon Black this past weekend. Slowly chipping away at my second xenoblade playthrough.
